Destination Wedding in Podere Conti, Tuscany

A romantic late summer wedding in Northern Tuscany 

Clare and Gerrard decided to tie the knot in Pontremoli, a medieval small town in northern Tuscany. Situated in the heart of Lunigiana, close to La Spezia and Massa Carrara, Pontremoli was the perfect background for this destination wedding.

The Ceremony

The wedding took place in Pontremoli’s town hall, situated in the central square of the town. Both Clare and Gerrard were very nervous before the wedding. When they met up in front of the mayor of Pontremoli I could see the emotions and love spreading from their eyes.

The Venue

Based in Northern Tuscany, in the Lunigiana area, Podere Conti is a typical Italian farmhouse. Surrounded by an amazing landscape made of olive groves, this venue was the perfect set for Clare & Gerrard’s romantic destination wedding. I had a lovely portrait session with the newlyweds during the sunset, during which the couple felt very comfortable and relaxed. Right after this portrait session, the couple moved up to the dinner, during which I had the opportunity to capture some really touching speeches from their son and from the groom. The wedding day ended up with the typical cutting of the cake and some dancing with all the guests.
